We will stay at the machine

Service, revision, retrofitting, and modernisation in Langnau—performed by the same mechanics who built the machine.

Workshop Services

At our workshop in Langnau, we do everything necessary to keep your Jost machine in working order for years to come: Service, revision, troubleshooting, repairs, annual inspections, retrofits, and modernisation.

The machine is placed on a stand, inspected, opened up, measured, and repaired. We know from experience exactly where a machine shows signs of wear after years of operation. We replace parts in those areas, check that everything is working properly, and verify the settings. We handle steel fabrication and custom structures in our own locksmithery.

Every device undergoes all required inspections/testing on its own test bench—both during the annual service and before being returned after a repair. The operator is responsible for ensuring safe operation: by conducting the annual inspection, the operator fulfills the required inspections/testing and can provide complete documentation of them.

A revision restores the machine to like-new condition—ensuring it operates with high levels of reliability and safety when back in service.

Retrofit instead of replace

A Jost machine does not have to be replaced just because requirements change. Many machines can be retrofitted, modified, or modernized.

Controls, operation, safety, hydraulics, drive systems, or individual assemblies: We assess what makes technical sense, what remains cost-effectively viable, and what your machine needs for its next application.

This way, existing equipment stays in service. And a tried-and-true machine is transformed into one that fits today’s work routine.

We know your machine

Jost machines are manufactured in Langnau. Development, locksmithery, assembling, testing, and service are all located in close proximity. That is why our work does not end with delivery.

We are familiar with the construction, the components, the typical stresses, and the operating conditions. We know exactly where to look on a machine after years of operation—the winch, the hydraulics, the control system, the anchoring, the undercarriage, and the safety-critical parts.

That is the advantage of not outsourcing service: the company that built the machine is also the one that can assess, repair, and further develop it.

Procedure and Contact Information

You can schedule your machine for service, revision, repair, or modification. We will assess its condition, usage, necessary actions, and the appropriate scope of work.

Depending on the situation, we will perform an inspection, provide an assessment, or issue a quote. The machine is then repaired, tested, and returned to you in Langnau, ready for use.
