The hNEA – A New Approach to Emergency Power Systems
Hybrid emergency power systems for construction sites, hospitals, and off-grid systems – manufactured by Jost Ltd. in Langnau.
The hNEA stores its electricity, shuts down the diesel engine, and continues to supply power from the battery – 80% less diesel, 80% less CO₂, and the generator does not run during nighttime operation.
It supplies construction sites, hospitals, and data centers, takes over during grid maintenance, and operates an off-grid system where there is no connection. It integrates photovoltaic, hydroelectric, and wind power.
Developed in collaboration with BKW Energie Ltd., built in Langnau, and subjected to testing in the field over several years. That is energy technology from Jost Ltd.
